Covid19 has exposed many businesses in terms of their digital readiness. As humans, we can naturally fall towards complacency in good times & react to find a temporary fix in crisis. Businesses that had not fallen in this trap are truly reaping the benefits of being digitally ready. As they say, every crisis is an opportunity so treat as such. Don’t just find temporary fixes or band-aid approaches, rather review your business models & identify gaps that exist for you to truly embrace digital. Adopt digital technologies to transform your business model and operations. Make sure that you are not limiting your digital adoption only to use of online platforms to streamline processes, production efficiencies, etc. Creating value for your customers should be vital part of your digital strategy.

  2. Client Engagement; Adopt digital technologies that allow customers to engage with you directly. Here are some ideas that can improve your customer engagement;

  • Allow customers to provide / read reviews
  • Provide automated recommendations
  • Connect with your clients across different social networks
  • Offer online chat
  • Host webinars or virtual meet & greet
  1. Explore new revenue models; Digitization allows companies to explore new revenue models by explore ideas on online product / services offerings. Key Question; Are there any offerings that you can deliver online to enhance client experience?
  2. Reach; Think of the World as a global village; a term much used but a solid digitization strategy allows you to expand your reach and establish your brand beyond your traditional markets. Make your clients feel that you’re closer to them than they think.
  3. Enhanced data management; Adopt a digitization strategy that allows you to take advantage of your precious data and can convert that into knowledge to enhance customer experience & in turn your top-line.
